There are photographs to edit, articles to arrange, captions to dispute and a rather unreasonable number of decisions concerning what deserves to be published. The work has been accumulating for years. Putting it all in one place has proved considerably less straightforward than making it in the first place. Apparently, having something to say and deciding where to put it are two entirely different professions.

This website will bring together commissioned photography, independent documentary investigations, reported articles and the occasional subject that began as a minor curiosity and subsequently consumed several months of my life. Some of the work has appeared in publications. Some has not. All of it has survived at least one argument about whether it belongs here.
